TLC Treatment Program Information

(TMS®) Transition, Motivation & Stabilization - Intensive Phase I - During this initial intensive outpatient phase of treatment, clients will be identifying issues directly related to their chemical dependency thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The primary focus of this treatment is to help clients develop an awareness of the complex problems and issues related to their chemical use/or addiction and to stabilize them. This program is designed to help clients manage craving, stabilize their lifestyle, disrupt denial patterns, develop awareness of post-acute withdrawal and it's symptoms, engage with nutritional interventions and set a foundation for the clients understanding of the level of personal motivation needed for them to recover. As they begin to facilitate the development of a sober support network, clients are typically encouraged to attend two Alcoholic Anonymous and/or Narcotic Anonymous meetings or other sober social community support groups each week. While in treatment, clients will be attending the intensive TMS® group at TLC three times a week, with an individual session scheduled as needed, for a period determined by their ability to demonstrate an understanding and integration of the information presented, typically for 8-12 weeks.

(RPC®) Relapse Prevention Counseling - Intensive Phase II - During this second intensive outpatient phase of treatment, clients will continue to identify and address issues directly related to their chemical dependency thoughts, feelings and behaviors. The primary focus of this phase of treatment is to help clients develop an awareness of the complex symptoms and personal issues related to their chemical use/or addiction, and to foster and engage with the management skills needed to alleviate these problems. Learning to manage the complex issues surrounding High Risk Situation management is the theme for this phase. Clients continue their development of a sober support network, and are encouraged to attend AA, NA meetings or other sober social community support groups each week. While in this phase of treatment, clients will be attending the intensive RPC® group at TLC two times a week, with individual sessions scheduled as needed , for a period determined by their ability to demonstrate an understanding and integration of the information presented, typically for 8 - 12 weeks.

(RPT®) Relapse Prevention Therapy - Outpatient Phase III - This outpatient phase is designed to further address the issues identified during the initial phases of treatment and enhance the clients ability to integrate the establishment of the healthy lifestyle changes they need to support their ongoing abstinence and recovery. The primary focus of this phase is helping clients engage with a personal understanding of the Relapse Warning Signs. Weekly group counseling services, as well as individual counseling, are provided on an "individually customized" basis and are typically designed to support the continuing needs that clients identified in their earlier phases of recovery. Additionally, with the establishment of ongoing sobriety, specialty services are available to further meet their individual needs, as warranted. To continue the ongoing development of a sober support network, clients are encouraged to attend AA, NA meetings or other sober social community support groups each week. Court and/or Department of Licensing requirements are to followed as applicable. During this Outpatient Phase II clients will be attending the outpatient RPT® group at TLC one day per week, with individual sessions scheduled as needed. Completion of this phase of treatment is directly determined by the individual clients ability to demonstrate an understanding and integration of the information presented, typically for 16-36 weeks.
